    The bread at Birdies is amazing! Crispy outer crust, chewy inner crust, moist and stretchy interior with a fresh grain flavour, along with the perfect amount of sourdough tunnels. This is real bread made with care and expertise. I've had the country, oat, seeded and whole wheat and all are wonderful. They also sell sweeter baked treats - croissants, scones, etc. - that look beautiful.

    They also sell fresh local organic stoneground whole wheat flour which is a joy to bake with.

    The crust is perfectly crisp, the interior deliciously soft and chewy. Easily the best bread I've had in HRM and I do consider myself a bread snob.

    Great bakery! Not only do they do amazing sourdough bread, it's also a great place to stop for a really good coffee and a snack. My girls love the lemon curd danishes!

    Oh this bread is good. I just ate half a loaf of Country Sourdough sliced with butter.
